Poor Juanita Bynum Went On Divorce Court!

(May  7, 2008)

Juanita’s Marriage Was Only Part Of Her Undoing

The Marriage between Juanita Bynum and Thomas Weeks, III should never have taken place and yet it was dubbed the wedding of the century. The couple, both previously married, even though officially married in July 2002, had a public ceremony on April 17, 2003 right at the end of the first day of the high holy feast of Passover and Unleavened Bread. That was nervy!  Wedding in the middle of one of God’s high holy feasts. (As most Christians, Juanita must believe the age-old error in Christianity that the Passover feast is for the Jews only, which made it easy for her to disrespect  that feast by celebrating “her” wedding.  Some prophetess!) Juanita dishonored herself by having chosen that particular time, the Passover week, because God would never lead her or anyone else to be married at that time even if the marriage was ordained by Him. She should never have mixed her personal rejoicing of being married with the time of a high feast celebration such as Passover/Unleavened Bread that was instituted for her salvation.

At the cost of a million-plus dollars, the wedding was befitting royalty and not supposedly simple preachers of the Gospel.  But then, it is apparent those two people were not simple preachers of God’s Word because their wedding was “extravagant to the tenth power.” It was birthed right out of the decadent hearts of the two people wedded and that speaks volumes about their ministries. The sad part about all of that though was that those two people both call themselves ministers of the Gospel, bishop and prophetess which in part symbolizes being humble, having no desire for the things of the world they live in, and abstaining from wickedness, right? The short and the long of it was, the adulterous wedding was short on being lowly or modest and was long on being materialistic with the gist of it being abominable.  Face it, it was vile! The wedding was a wicked affair!  The whole thing was wrong and God was nowhere in that mess.

Brothers and Sisters, one would have to know that God cautioned Juanita and Wesley through conviction of heart about their marriage and if He hadn’t, there would have been no need for certain proclamations during the wedding ceremony. After an introductory statement, “Archbishop” Roy E. Brown handed the microphone over to “Bishop” Robert Rochford to do his part in the ceremony. Pay close attention to what follows:

Bishop Robert Rochford:  “You can’t have the blood without unlimited forgiveness.  When I see the blood, I’ll pass; I’ll Passover you.  And I say to both of you, because of the blood the past is over [Juanita shoots up her left hand toward Heaven as she shouted “yes”].  The mistakes of the past, the frustrations of the past, the disappointments of the past, because of the blood there is justification so it doesn’t make any difference what people think about your past.  Because of the blood of Jesus, He has removed the past (Bynum-Weeks wedding video).

The “past is over”! That must have been referencing the couple’s divorces. If that’s what the Bishop meant, then yes, that’s right, but that doesn’t mean God gave the two the green light to remarry.  Remarrying is tantamount to adultery as long as they remain in that marriage.  Archbishop Roy E. Brown instructed everyone to stand and open their mouths and…

make Satan know, you [Satan] thought you would stop this [wedding], but look, you thought you were gon’ end it but look what God has [he goes off into tongues with everybody joining in as they shouted and danced] (Ibid.).

Hey, Archbishop, Satan never ‘thought’ he was going to stop the wedding; it was his idea and plan in the first place for the wedding to take place.  Satan completed his task successfully so the joke was on you and the bride and the groom. That statement also showed that there must have been talk about the two getting married as well as one or both of them having second thoughts about getting married.

Because flesh spoke louder than the spirit and Juanita went with the flesh, the result was, the marriage was completely broken by the fifth year. In August 2007, she and the estrange husband met in an attempt to reconcile after a three-month estrangement and the discussion apparently became ‘vinegary’ and the husband ended up beating, choking, kicking, and stomping her after he had pushed her down.  A million-plus-dollar-wedding for that? Getting both hands married for that? Juanita then filed for divorce. (Juanita wanted two rings for herself because she wanted to be married on both hands. Juanita wanted both hands to be married because as she said, she wanted to use both her hands to build her marriage. What kind of foolishness was that! Yeah, she’d need those two rings on her two hands to build that marriage because God surely wasn’t in it as proved to be the case.)

Other Things That Played A Part In Juanita’s Undoing

Resorted To Cosmetic/Plastic Surgery: In June 2007, on a secular television show on the Black Entertainment Network (BET), Prophetess Juanita Bynum talked about her cosmetic/plastic surgery. Yes, this is the same Prophetess Bynum who had minor surgery after which she was bedridden for thirty or more days.  Where was the Prophetess’ healing “god”? Why would a prophetess have so much pride in her physical appearance that she’d want plastic surgery? And, she of all people should have looked to God’s arm for healing and not the arm of a man.  My word! A prophetess! The healing and miracle working God of Israel would never condone such.

Pushed Catholicism Off On God’s People:  In October 2005 Juanita hosted TBN’s Praise The Lord program where one of her guests was Roman Catholic laywoman, Michelle Corral, whom Juanita introduced as a “woman of God,” a “prophetess of God,” and as one of her Biblical mentors. One of her Biblical mentors!  According to Juanita, God has supernaturally opened up the Scripture to Michelle and works miracles, signs, and wonders through her.  In her prophetess robe, Juanita said that particular night was Michelle Corral’s “coming out” and that it was a sign of God’s changing of the guards. Michelle Corral coming out of what into what? If Michelle wasn’t coming out of the Roman Catholic Church and into the Protestantism, then her coming out was not in a God-related way of bursting on the scene into anything holy. What a prophetic lie from hell! The sign wasn’t for God’s changing of the guards as Juanita said, but was a sign that Juanita is now in bed with the Catholic Church instead of, as a prophetess, shouting from the rooftop the errors of Catholicism. Juanita has misled God’s sheep with her lies.

The Mess Between Juanita And T.D. Jakes:  Shayne Lee reveals what went down between T.D. Jakes and Prophetess Bynum in his book, “T.D. Jakes: America’s New Preacher.”  As you no doubt know, guest speakers at Jake’s Mega-Fest conferences are paid a fee for their services while at the same time get exposed to millions of people (conference attendees and those watching by so-called Christian television and satellite).

In return, Jakes generates millions of dollars by charging attendees for preferred seating and by retaining rights to videos and tapes of every speaker, which he markets on his television programs and sells through his hotline….When Bynum preached at his conference in 1998, Jakes made a fortune by selling many videos and tapes of her performance.  The video’s tremendous popularity and profitability led to a legal quarrel between Bynum and Jakes over royalties.  Jakes responded by using his power and influence to have her blacklisted from preaching in many venues.  A ministry insider with close ties to the Potter’s House [Jakes’ ministry] claimed that Jakes’ efforts at blacklisting Bynum were intentional and thorough.  This was confirmed by a staff member of a prominent church who revealed that during the legal dispute Jakes called her pastor and requested him not to invite Bynum for future conferences and engagements” (Lee, Shayne. T.D. Jakes: America’s New Preacher.  New York: New York University Press, 2005, p 150).

First of all, no true man of God would be that piggish for money that he would blacklist another so-called servant of God.  And, no true prophetess of God would stoop so low as to fight over money.  If Juanita is a prophetess, why didn’t she know ahead of time what Jakes would do?  The opportunity must be taken to say that they are all fakes, including those preachers who honored Jakes’ request to not invite Juanita to speak. None of those folks were hearing the voice of God instructing them to accommodate Jakes wishes. Oh, what an apostate mess!

Jakes and Bynum made amends when Bynum publicly apologized to him at a Houston conference in 2003 as she blamed God for her having been blacklisted instead of blaming the real culprit, the demonic spirit of greed in T.D. Jakes.  It was easy for Bynum to blame God because she herself is in a state of apostasy.  The nerve of her though for falsely pointing the finger at God for what Jakes did to her. The woman is in bad shape.  People of THE LORD! You need to stop paying her any attention.  Stop going to hear her lies.  Stop giving her your money. She is no prophetess.

Juanita Is Now Running Mad For Attention

What has happened in Juanita’s life is proof that she has always been a phony prophetess under the leadership of Satan.  Satan is Juanita Bynum’s spiritual covering.  That false anointing upon her is now manifested in the natural as disaster in her life with her running from pillar to post to stay in the limelight. She is so desperate she has turned to the world for attention.  Imagine that, a prophetess of God turning to the world for any bit of recognition she can get.  God forbid!

One secular outlet Juanita ran to in order to get her face out there was, Essence Magazine where she sold her story of the parking lot brawl. She also went on the secular radio program, Tom Joyner’s Morning Show, in September 2007 to talk about her beating at the hands of Bishop Weeks.  Joyner asked her why she didn’t foresee the problems with her estranged husband if she’s a prophetess.  That question seemed to have aggravated her and she went off on a tirade about life is still life no matter who you are in life and how things that happen to you in life happen for a reason, even if you pray and fast. Oh, please. She continued to harp on there not being a nationwide face for domestic violence until her.  Yeah, sure, but, she still didn’t answer the question about her so-called calling as prophetess and not having being forewarned about the husband’s violence.  Folks, the woman is a fake – a Jezebel. One would think that by now she would have questioned if she’s so special in God’s eyes – His prophetess, why didn’t God send down fire from Heaven and destroy Weeks right when he was stomping, kicking, and choking her, a prophetess of God?  Oh, well.

Juanita accepted an Oprah Winfrey invitation to a Barack Obama fundraiser in the summer of 2007.  She said she accepted the invitation because she wanted the presidential candidate Obama to see her face so that it serves as a reminder that domestic violence is an epidemic that needs to stop. She believes it is a social issue and not religious. Dear prophetess, how can you, a so-called prophetess, believe that violence, perpetrated at the unctioning of demons, is a social issue and not spiritual/religious? Behind every act of violence is a demon, which makes it a spiritual thing and since Juanita does not know that, that’s confirmation she is indeed a fraud.  Don’t people in the church get deliverance from bad behavior such as anger and violence because it’s the opposite of good Christ-like behavior? Guess Juanita must have forgotten about those Pentecostal-Charismatic teachings, or perhaps that kind of stuff is not done in the church anymore. Juanita is no prophetess and she’s got plenty of demons running her show and she doesn’t even know it. She doesn’t know it because she has long been reprobate. She’s apostate! That’s why she’s going backward – back to the world, the flesh, and the devil.

As an advocate for domestic violence, Juanita said she’ll push for legislation to toughen punishment for domestic violence because it now bears her face and name.  Oh, please, who does she think she is. Juanita indeed thinks highly of herself because S-H-E suffered pain that she claims was life-changing, so much so, that it is causing her ministry to take a different direction.  Juanita, you are not the first woman to get a beating and you’ll not be the last. Women have lost their lives at the hands of violent men long before you, so domestic violence had many names and faces long before you.

The nail in the coffin for Juanita Bynum was when she turned to the secular television reality show “Divorce Court” in April 2008. Juanita had already filed for divorce so why a reality television divorce court show except for attention – to get her face out there.  How pathetic!  And she looked even more pathetic with the fake hair on her head and the fake smile on her face.  In fact, she looked downright half-witted.  But, hey, that’s what demons do to people they control.   The reality show Judge Lynn Toler wanted to know from Juanita if her appearing on Divorce Court was a publicity stunt and Juanita assured her it wasn’t by saying "‘I wasn't responsible for it [the leaked transcript] hitting the media….I don't think that I would bring myself to build a ministry and for one incident want to bring that kind of negative press to myself after 25 years of ministry’"  (Barrick, Audrey. “Televangelist Bynum Discusses Abuse, Divorce On Reality TV.” Christianpost.com. April 29, 2008. http://www.christianpost.com). No, Juanita doesn’t want negative press; she just wants PRESS’, period.  Anybody’s press, she’ll take it.  To herself, she must remain in the limelight some way or another.  She told Judge Toler she no longer wants the marriage and that she’s done with the marriage, but yet she keeps seeking venues to continue talking about her abuse. It’s all for attention and getting her face out there, so to speak. Evidently she has always thought “she had arrived,” so in her mind she really does believe she is the “new face of domestic violence.” What is she aiming for that she didn’t already have?

Juanita Is Now On Empty

Juanita is bored and has to be extremely tired with all the grunting, groaning, moaning, strutting and contorting of the face she does when supposedly preaching. You see, when your ministry is bogus and without God’s Holy Spirit upon it in the first place, you soon run out of preaching material and find yourself hashing out the same-old-same-old with no one paying attention anymore, plus the money pool dries up.  So, the light bulb went on in Juanita’s head after the beating, and bam! that was it, a new direction for her ministry – domestic violence legislation. Oh, she also said she wants to take classes to learn why she is attracted to abusive men. Just who is this god that Juanita serves that she needs mental health professional classes to learn why she is attracted to abusive men? Come on, now, what prophetess of God needs to take classes about the demonic behavior of abusive men and why she’s drawn to them. (The question is: what’s in her that draws them? It certainly isn’t the Holy Spirit.) She’s so full of it! Juanita Bynum has brought shame and pain to God and to Christianity and God is sick of her.

What price for attention – for recognition.  Juanita needs deliverance if she expects to come through this with a star in her crown.  She needs deliverance because she is now an ‘Attention Whore.” Anything for recognition and from more than just Christians but from the world, too.  She must really, really want to be the next Oprah Winfrey as her estrange husband said she told him. Heaven forbide! Of all the people, “Oprah-no-god-Winfrey.” What a pity!  But, hey, that’s what happens to anybody who claims to hear the voice of God every time they turn around, when in fact it’s the voice of demons up to their old trickery. Demons will fool the daylights out of a person and in the end make them fall so hard they’ll never get up.  Demons make people look stupid while they stand by, invisibly, laughing their heads off. Demons are making Juanita look stupid.

As Juanita is falling and the attention is being drawn away from you, she can’t bear it – that’s why the thoughts of suicide. How many more times do you have to be reminded that Demons are pulling Juanita Bynum’s strings. She told The Divorce Court judge that she had thoughts of suicide.

‘Suicide crossed my mind ... You know, I felt hopeless,’ Bynum said. ‘I didn't because the name Bynum represents a legacy of people that have gone before me and had I done that I would have given too much power to an individual to not just wipe me out but to wipe out the integrity of the legacy I was born in’ (“‘Divorce Court’ Episode Shows Televangelist Juanita Bynum Calling Her Marriage ‘Done.’” Chicago Tribune Wire Reports.  April 22, 2008. http://www.chicagotribune.com)

Wipe out the integrity of the legacy she was born in? What about you’re not following through suicide because you would have immediately knocked the gates of hell wide open upon your entrance. A prophetess having thoughts of suicide? That’s nobody but demons in that woman’s life. Again, they are controlling her – they’re driving her to the ultimate act in the life of a human being – to commit suicide and lose eternal happiness in the presence of The Lord.

Dear Church, this is the hour for such happenings as is going on in the life of  Juanita Bynum.  Expect to see many more televangelists of the Charismatic persuasion go down hard because God has had enough of their foolishness, their false teachings, their false voices, and their greed. This is the hour for the falling down of the house that Satan built.

SIDEBAR ON SUICIDE: To commit suicide is a choice made by a free moral agent – a human being. The choice was made in the mind because the flesh had overpowered the unwillingness of the spirit to go along with the murder. To kill anyone is a sin. Therefore, to kill self is a sin. Since killing self is a sin, how can the suicide victim repent of the sin after death?  They can’t.  Therefore, that person dies in the sin of having broken the Sixth Commandment – Thou Shalt Not Kill. Belief in eternal security or once saved, always saved is not Scriptural and does not save the suicide victim from eternal damnation. Romans 8:37-39 and Ephesians 2:8-9 don’t line up with the Gospel of Jesus Christ and is not Scriptural.  If you’re attempting to use John 5:24 to backup those Pauline writings in Romans and Ephesians that’s not possible. John 5:24 means by hearing Jesus Word you must be obedient to His Word – walk in His word until He comes in glory.  If you do that as long as you so live, you will not be condemned but will have life everlasting in the presence of The Lord.  But, by killing yourself and being unable to repent, you are condemned.

In Closing

Associated Press writer, Errin Haines Washingtonpost.com article dated April 29, 2008 referenced Juanita’s estranged husband  Bishop Weeks’ new book in which he says Juanita is trying “to revive her own flagging ministry.” Weeks was further cited as saying Juanita used the incident “to paint herself as a poster girl for domestic violence and to boost her ministry.” Long before Bishop Weeks stated that in his book, "What Love Taught Me," a blind man could see what Juanita was up to.  Sorry, folks, but Juanita Bynum is sick! Sick as in hearing the voices of demons who are pulling her strings just as they have all during her years of ministry that God never ordained.

Weeks was also quoted as saying, "‘She needed a way out of the marriage so that she could keep her following, possibly grow her following ... develop a cause that can support her without preaching and promote her secular career, while ending her marriage,’ Weeks wrote. ‘Juanita was tired of preaching. She was tired of the conference circuit. She was more bored.’"  (“Televangelist’s Estranged Husband Claims Abuse In New Book.”  Errin Haines, Associated Press writer. Washingtonpost.com. April 29, 2008. http://www.washingtonpost.com).  Bishop Weeks hit the nail right dead on the head about Juanita being tired and bored.  But, real prophets don’t go looking for another career with the hope of keeping her followers as Juanita is suspected of attempting. But then again, Juanita is not a real prophetess.

Church, what was just shown you about Juanita Bynum is the mark of apostasy.  A Prophetess?  God’s so-called anointed? Juanita Bynum is a fraud who has lined her pockets with God’s money and squandered it in dazzling finery just like the rest of the televangelists.  Juanita told The Divorce Court judge that her wealth is not from tithe money but from the books she has written. Dear Juanita, those books, ghost-written or not, were written off the back of God’s Word and sold to His believers thus making that God’s money since you call yourself a minister of the Gospel. (That goes for all ministries writing and selling Christian books that are purchased by Christians.)  If Prophetess Bynum wrote secular books, yes, that money would be hers because the subject matter would be totally unrelated to Christianity and her ministering the Gospel. That is far from being the case.

Juanita had better sit tight on that money she stole from the coffers of God because she’ll need it to survive.  This is the end of her bogus ministry where she collected tithes and sold her books.  She’ll not strut her stuff in God’s face any longer. God has had enough of her arrogance, vanity, pride, and lies. God is sick of you, Juanita!  It is finished.

A word to Juanita:  Break loose from all the people who have surrounded you all these years, including your dear mama.  Find an old-fashioned and sincere Pentecostal outside your TBN, Daystar, and conference circle to confide in as you repent before God.  Have that person pray deliverance over you no matter how long it takes so that you get back in genuine holy fellowship with THE LORD.
